Veteran radiopharmaceutical operator to lead US commercial expansion and CDMO growth

Copenhagen, Denmark & Boston, MA — September 1, 2026 — Minerva Imaging, an integrated radiopharmaceutical CRO/CDMO delivering discovery-to-clinic services across PET, SPECT, and targeted radionuclide therapy, today announced the appointment of David A. Kroon as General Manager, US. Based in the greater Boston area, Kroon will lead Minerva’s US commercial expansion, build the founding US team, and support the strategic evaluation of a future US CDMO footprint.

David joins Minerva Imaging with more than two decades of experience in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, CMO/CDMO management, and commercial development. He most recently served as President of Rotem Inc., the US subsidiary of Rotem Industries, where he grew annual sales, and expanded the company’s pharmaceutical customer base. Earlier in his career, he held senior commercial and program-management roles at PharmaLogic Holdings, GE Healthcare Life Sciences, and Lantheus Medical Imaging, where he built and managed a global CMO network spanning 25 partners across six countries in support of late-stage PET drug development.

David brings exactly the profile we need to accelerate Minerva’s presence in North America — a rare combination of radiopharmaceutical depth, hands-on CDMO experience, and a proven ability to build teams and customer relationships that last,” said Carsten H. Nielsen, Co-founder and CEO of Minerva Imaging. “Our US sponsors are asking for an in-region partner who understands the technical, regulatory, and commercial realities of PET and targeted radionuclide therapy. David will be that partner, and he will help us translate Minerva’s integrated CRO/CDMO capabilities into meaningful, long-term growth in the US market.

Priorities for the US General Manager

In his new role, Kroon will focus on three strategic priorities:

  • Build the founding US team, covering business development, program management, and customer delivery – providing sponsors with a local point of contact across Minerva’s CRO and CDMO service lines.
  • Strengthen Minerva’s position as a trusted CDMO partner in North America through expanded market presence, strategic collaborations, and increased customer engagement.
  • Explore the development of a future U.S. footprint to support growing customer demand, increase supply security, and enable continued expansion in the North American market.

I am delighted to join Minerva at such a pivotal moment for the field,” said David Kroon. “Minerva has built one of the most complete integrated capability sets in radiopharmaceuticals – from target validation and preclinical imaging through GMP manufacturing and clinical supply. I look forward to bringing that offer closer to US sponsors and helping build a team that reflects Minerva’s scientific rigor and customer focus.
